A few highlights.
Colombia
We traveled to Bogota to deliver a special gift to a very special group of children at Fundación Albergue Infantil Mamá Yolanda orphanage. SOG Foundation provided the first ever computers and technology tools that will help the students learn and grow, but also play games and have fun.
Compton, CA
At Tibby Elementary School, we hosted a free soccer and nutrition education clinic for students, followed by a healthy lunch for students and families. The event was led by SOG Ambassadors Jay Demerit, Cobi Jones, Ros Sanchez, Eric Winter and co-founder Judy Reyes.
Ecuador
We visited Fundacion ALDEC, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of at-risk children and families in Quito, Ecuador. The SOG Foundation provided support for a summer program that provides nutritional meals and shelter to over 100 poverty stricken children and families.
Paterson, NJ
The nonprofit Eva's Village provides care and support to individuals struggling with hunger, homelessness, substance use disorders and mental health issues. SOG volunteers and Ambassadors provided meals for more than 500 of our hungry neighbors and provided a little TLC to their women’s shelter.
Puerto Rico
For more than 70 years, Hogar de Niñas de Cupey, located in San Juan, has served as a home to girls who are victims of abuse or abandonment by their families and guardians, offering specialized support services in the areas of physical, mental and spiritual health. Sound of GOL Foundation provided financial support for their operations and our U12 girls soccer team spent a day with the girls who live at the center.
