The world’s game shouldn’t have a price of admission.

Sound of GOL Foundation expands access to football by building pathways to training, mentorship, and leadership for young women of color.

Everywhere else, all you need is a ball.

In America, the pay-to-play model decides who plays, who gets seen, and who gets left behind. Deny a girl the field, and you deny her the community, mentors, and open doors that come with it.

For Latina girls, football is woven into their families and culture long before they ever step on an American field. Yet for too many families, rising costs, economic hardship, and growing fears within immigrant communities about simply gathering in public are putting the game further out of reach. As access to the game shrinks for the very communities that have long helped define it, girls lose more than a place to play. They lose community, mentorship, and opportunities that can shape the rest of their lives.

We’re here to keep that door open, not let it close on one more group already shut out of too many rooms.

The Sound of GOL Foundation

We are a global nonprofit organization using the world’s game of football to break down systemic barriers and create real pathways for women and girls of color.

We are expanding access and removing financial roadblocks so that Latinas and other underserved communities can fully participate, compete, and grow within the game.

Beyond access, we provide real opportunity. Through inclusive programs, leadership development, and global partnerships, we equip women and girls to gain confidence, pursue higher levels of participation, and lead both on and off the pitch.

We believe that when women and girls are given the chance to thrive, they don’t just change their own futures; they transform their communities and help reshape the game itself.

Expanding access.

Redefining the game.

Building pathways.
